QR udpate

So QR Codes have been around for a while but have really only hit mainstream in Japan. There doesn't seem to be much doubt that this, or similar technology, will eventually break into the Western World but it will be interesting to see what makes it happen. MIT's Advertising Lab: Future of Advertising and Advertising Technology points to some interested uses of QRs:
